HAND ME DOWN, RAISE ME UP

Hand Me down, Raise Me Up explores the global second-hand clothing industry by following the people working to make it viable — from designers and policy reformers to conscious consumers in the Global North and resellers in Africa. The film reveals a hard truth: even the most advanced reuse systems cannot absorb the sheer scale of overproduction.

As innovators, brands, and recyclers push for circular solutions, the film confronts two urgent questions: can circularity truly exist inside an economy addicted to endless growth? And will we keep shipping the problem elsewhere or finally redesign the system that created it?
